Coaching news

February half-term is almost here...

Let us take the strain out of entertaining the children this February half-term. Our golf camps are suitable for children of all levels and designed to highlight the fun aspect of learning to play golf, with all equipment supplied.

PGA Professionals will be working through the game on the practice area, putting green and 5 Hole Community course with all our young players, fun competitions as part of the coaching with prizes to be won.

Lesson times are 10am - 1pm followed by lunch which is optional.

The days will be:

Monday, 17 February

Wednesday, 19 February 

Friday, 21 February

Members price £20, while guests £25 per day with lunch included. (cost reduced by £5 if not staying for lunch). 

Lunch options are: 

  • Chicken goujons
  • Fish fingers
  • Vegetarian sausages

Road to recovery

As part of me playing competitively again this season, I have been having treatment from Jennifer Coombes of Jonathon Clark Physiotherapy. A sports massage fortnightly has seen me be able to play almost pain-free, while my back is so much more at peace in general.

An old injury was flared up from a car accident I was involved in two-years-ago and I was sent to Jonathon Clark’s.

After making an initial assessment and plan, Jennifer has helped me work on getting my core stronger and taking the pressure off of my back. Exercises to complete at home and the gym have really made a difference, and now, I feel so much more confident to push myself more on and off the golf course now.
