Ball flight and trajectory - The FlightScope tracking system will indicate the ideal launch angle and spin rate for maximum distance.

Launch Parameters - The FlightScope tracking system will indicate both your swing speed and ball speed.

Lie angle - Ascertaining the correct lie angle will ensure more consistent and accurate shot making.

Spin rates - Any adverse side spin can result in pushed or pulled shots. The fitting process will indicate the specification that will limit this fault.

Members Junior Coaching Returns 

We are returning to our Junior Members Coaching programme on the weekend commencing the 13th of June, groups will be for members only at first and limited to five pupils. Please call the Professional Shop to book a space on 02392 551170, booking is compulsory for safety at this time.

Safety is paramount, and our plan will be emailed out later this week to all Junior Members, please read carefully before attending the sessions. We will look after you all and have loads of fun as normal.

Thoughts for the course

Bad habits are a rite of passage for every golfer. Unfortunately, we don’t always grow out of them… Especially when it comes to driving. Believe it or not, smashing the ball as far as possible is as much about technique as it is, well, smashing it.

Hitting down on ball with driver

One of the most common homemade solutions for poor driving is to swing downwards onto the ball at impact. This does more harm than good. Yes, you want to hit downwards with your irons, but this is NOT the case for drivers.

Hitting up on ball with driver

Other than having a driver tailored to your swing, the easiest way to improve your driving is to strike the ball on an upwards arc. It's a mixture of a good body position, correct ball position as well as your angle of attack - three things we can help you with!
