Confidence with your driver
You might think that you’re worried about hitting your driver because you’re worried about making a mistake. But what you’re actually afraid of is the consequence of that mistake, which is why minimising the risk lets you be confident, not cautious, with driver in hand.
You can do this by eliminating misses to one side. For example, in the above illustration, eliminating that right-side miss will take away the danger of a water hazard and any penalty strokes. Suddenly you’re looking at missing to the left, which isn’t the end of the world, or striping one down the runway.
Taking a look at Cobra’s Radspeed ladies’ driver range gives us a perfect example as the Radspeed XD is designed with a draw bias to prevent you missing to the right; making it ideal for the hole shown above. You could give it a good old whack and get further down the fairway without being scared of losing balls in the water and totting up the score.
But hey, you might find that theRadspeed XB – which is made for maximum forgiveness – is more up your street. There’s no wrong answer and the video above should help you figure that out.
